Caltha LLP Project Summary
Project: Wisconsin Tier II Hazardous Material Reporting
Client: Paper Manufacturer
Location(s): Wisconsin
Key Elements: Tier II Reporting, Training
Overview: This Wisconsin facility contracted with Caltha to prepare reporting and chemical tracking procedures and calculations that facility staff could use to submit EPCRA 311/312 report, also known as a Tier 2 report. Facilities that store more than 10,000 pounds of any hazardous material, or less for extremely hazardous substances, are required to submit an annual report. The facility management wanted to be sure that tracking and calculations were being conducted as required under EPCRA 311/312 and that facility staff were properly trained to prepare the Tier II reports in the future. Caltha conducted a review of material storage and Tier II calculation spreadsheets. Tier II documentation and spreadsheets were revised by Caltha. Tier II reports were prepared by Caltha at the facility working alongside facility EHS staff so that the facility staff could conduct inventories in the future without outside assistance.
