Overview: Caltha LLP was retained by this international manufacturer to conduct a technical review of its existing environmental management system to determine what modifications would be required to bring programs into conformance with the existing ISO 14001 requirements. Caltha prepared a Gap Analysis Summary Report, which included:
- Areas where existing EMS would need to be modified to meet the ISO 14001 standard,
- Areas where existing EMS would need to be modified to apply to all operating units of the company, in US, Europe & Asia
- Description of tasks that could be initiated by company staff to address gaps, and
- Level of effort estimate to bring existing EMS into conformance with existing and proposed ISO 14001 standards.
